One thing is clear. Phones 4U will launch a new Samsung product on Friday. Could it possibly be the Galaxy S3?
The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 handset could be set for a surprise arrival in the UK this coming Friday 30th March.
While it's by no means confirmed, the Phones 4U branch in Oxford
Street London is adorning it's store-front with the Samsung logo and
that caption 'Coming 30/3/2012,' but what could it mean?
Surely the only thing worth getting that excited is the Galaxy S3,
but last we heard that wasn't set to arrive until April or May,
following Samsung's decision to delay the launch until well after MWC.
There are new Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab devices set to arrive, as
well as the Galaxy Beam and its on-board projector, but they also aren't
expected until later this year. And a new budget handset surely
wouldn't justify decking the entire store front out with Samsung colours
now would it? We'll have to wait until Friday to find out.
Eurodroid points out
that Phones 4U was the official sales partner in the UK for the Samsung
Galaxy Nexus so has the high street retailer pulled off another high
profile Sammy exclusive?
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is comfortably the most eagerly anticipated
Android handset launch of 2012. The SII was a massive favourite and even
beat the iPhone 4 to T3's prestigeous Phone of the Year award at the T3
Gadget Awards 2011.
Samsung has done a great job creating Android-like anticipation and speculation ahead of the launch.
Reports suggest that the S3 could boast 2 GHz dual-core processor,
2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. A 12-megapixel camera is also
tipped along with a 4.8-inch display with full HD 1080p resolution.
Other rumours have claimed it'll bring be a mere 7-inches thin and come
with splash-resistent Liquel nano-technology. Naturally, it will come
loaded with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
