Komori Masaharu, an assistant professor at Kyoto University, has developed a prototype vehicle codenamed Permoveh that not only moves forward, also, sideways and diagonally.
Personal Mobile Vehicle (Permoveh) uses a wheel-in-wheel system to aid the wheelchair users for easy sideways and diagonal movement which otherwise is very hard with regular vehicles.
No word has been put towards the point of Permoveh entering into production phase. Since it does seem a relief for handicaps it must be commercialized as soon as possible.
Permoveh can also hit the road for adventurers if Masaharu increases its speed and fix a seat belt with the chair.
