FC Barcelona and FC Bayern München qualify into the semi-finals.

Lionel Messi converted two penalties to eliminated AC Milan 3-1 while FC Bayern München secured their second straight 2-0 win against Olympique de Marseille to move a step closer to the dream final at Fußball Arena München, their home ground.


Messi become the first player to score 14 in a UEFA Champions League season.

Messi's first penalty came in the 11th minute. Its creation was also his efforts as Messi bursted forward and Luca Antonini contested the ball bringing the Argentenian down.

In the 32nd minute AC Milan equalised when Zlatan Ibrahimović was allowed to bring the ball down and turn. The Swede slid a sublime pass into the overlapping Nocerino, who slotted in a low shot.

Messi benifited from 2nd penalty when, Xavi's corner was curled in and Nesta tugged Sergio Busquets to the ground.
Andrés Iniesta extended Barcelona's advantage early in the second period.


In FC Bayern München's 2-0 (agg: 4-0) victory over Olympique de Marseille, Ivica Olić was the hero who scored both the goals in the first half.

The Croatian forward, given a rare start in place of Mario Gomez. Olić struck the opener 13 minutes in, converting in the centre following a trademark run and cross from Franck Ribéry.

Goalkeeper Mandanda was beaten for a second time as Olić doubled his and Bayern's tally on 37 minutes, tucking in David Alaba's low centre at the near post.
