''Consciousness Capital''
Respectful and grateful dedication to the Government and People of Australia
Charles Dickens masterpiece 'A Tale Of Two Cities' opening lines are staggering - 'It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times ----- could just be so poignant ----- even for these times ?!! And even moreso! But Chris Sanderson, co-founder of trend forecasting, bespoke research and brand innovation consultancy the future laboratory, thinks 'we'll be seeing more emphasis on ''philanthropy'' and the rise of the 'politics of luxury.' He goes on.
I must begin this painful post by referring to two important and monumental books by two giants of intellectual work : Prof Amartya Sen of Cambridge University's ''On Economic Inequality'' and Kenichi Ohmae of McKinsey & Company's - ''The End Of The Nation State.'' Both these authors and I take you back into the fray of History !
I urge you, to beware the temptation, to ignore the facts of history and the aggressive impulses of any evil empire; and simply call, all that has happened, and is happening, a giant misunderstanding and thereby remove yourself from the struggle between right and wrong , good and evil ! Please understand that ''being proud of your wealth will be made more acceptable via more transparent philanthropic activity and a more sustainable approach to wealth generation."
Luxury is likely to become a political issue in a time of severe straitened circumstances. Think fat, alcohol, and smoking and apply these restrictions to the luxury market, where spending on the frivolous and excessive will become morally repugnant to an increasing number of highly vocal and estranged consumers.
Therefore, for discreet wealthers, if attention has to be drawn it has to be of the admiring kind. 'Conscious capital' and its part in your and their, happiness!!!! David Carter, business expert and mentor, has a wise insight ''Businesses that focus on building their 'conscious capital' will be the ones that retain the brightest talents and attract the most loyal customers. Being conscious will pay huge dividends.'' So very true !!!!
SAM and !WOW! are grateful to the Government and people of Australia for their 'scholarships' for the Pakistani Students. And to World students, we offer our appreciation for their overwhelming support! Yes, life is just too short to spend in total obscurity! Lets face up!! Please plant SAM forward. Don't rest till the mission is over! Oscar Wilde had a view ''We are all in the gutter, but some of us maybe looking at the stars!''
Cheerio and Good night and God bless!
