Can everybody start talking about Michael Fassbender already? This is master acting genius – made his name as a Nazi hunting, hunger striking cinematic chameleon, but now he is taking on his role yet: 012’s super-uber leading man. And he is all set for every A-list take off. And as they say:

Any actor’s “buffet of choice”.

In Shame, Fassbender gives the performance of his career and hell, and the world has not stopped saying it, ‘The Performance of The Year In Any Movie!’

Fassbender is every inch off-duty film star. His charisma intact every moment, he is now an Hollywood A lister ready to erupt and take ownership of your screen-sin in the buff or otherwise.

The first 10 minutes of Shame are essentially Brandon, his duvet, his hand and a near crippling onanistic  affliction. He’s like a self abusing teenager, his hormones continually getting the better of him. He wants for nothing, yet is never satisfied. He’s morose! This is a film to watch alone and the best reactionary interlude comes from Fassbender himself : There’s this feeling of disgust with oneself, and shame, and self loathing because my character has no control over his physical life. Then you go out and do it again to get rid of that shame, you double it, so it’s a cyclical pattern.

Fassbender was born in Heidelberg, Germany , to parents who were from Northern Ireland. After going to local school, he headed to the drama centre London. There was a brief moment of excitement when in 2001, he was cast in Spielberg’s Bond of Brothers. But then, a difficult patch followed when he wondered as to his fate.

His talent caught up with fate and Quantin Tarantino called.

Fassbender likes things that go fast: motorbikes, cars, horses. His dream machine is a ‘Porsche 550 Spyder’ and his idea of holiday is hitting the road on his motorbike. Unlike other stars, Fassbender looks and acts like his age. Even on screen. Says Carey Mulligan, “If I learned anything from working with Michael, it’s that he’s utterly fearless”.

He has a zero dedication to mountain ‘some kind of a image’. Lots of stars say that sort of a thing because it sounds close to humility, but in the choice he makes, Fassbender acts on it, too! With many thanks to !WOW!
Do relish morrow’s post. Good night and God bless!
