Alex Hales recorded the highest ever Twenty20 score by an England batsman to help the hosts to a seven-wicket win over West Indies at Trent Bridge.
The 23-year-old agonisingly fell one run short of an historic century but his fantastic knock of 99 still proved decisive as the Windies finished their tour without a win.
England had been set a relatively challenging target after the tourists recovered from a slow start to post a total of 172-4 from their 20 overs.
Dwayne Smith top-scored for the Windies with 70, while Dwayne Bravo (54 not out) and Kieron Pollard (23no) fired late on in an innings which contained a total of 10 sixes.
Although England lost Crag Kieswetter early in their chase, Hales and Ravi Bopara (59) put together their country's highest-ever partnership in 20-over cricket (159) to see the hosts to a comfortable victory. (skysports.com)
