Mourning The Death Of Andy Williams

The Austin College community is shocked and saddened to learn of the death early this morning of Andy Williams, long-time technical director of Ida Green Theatre. Andy was in Austin, Texas, with extended family and apparently died in his sleep.

More details will be released as available.

Andy, a 1974 graduate of Austin College, began his campus career as a carpenter in Physical Plant following graduation. In 1984, he began his position in the theatre, in what now is the Department of Communication, Media Studies, and Theatre.

Andy’s wife, Kathy, who also attended Austin College, spent many years at the Sherman Democrat and Herald Democrat.

Kathy left Sherman to travel to Austin today.
