People Like Us (2012)

People Like Us is an upcoming 2012 drama film directed by Alex Kurtzman in his directorial debut, written by Kurtzman, Jody Lambert and Roberto Orci, starring Chris Pine, Olivia Wilde, Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mark Duplass and Jon Favreau. The film has music composed by A. R. Rahman.

Synopsis: Chris Pine stars as Sam, a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns that his father has suddenly died. Against his wishes, Sam is called home, where he must put his father's estate in order and reconnect with his estranged family. In the course of fulfilling his father's last wishes, Sam uncovers a startling secret that turns his entire world upside down: He has a 30-year-old sister Frankie whom he never knew about (Elizabeth Banks). As their relationship develops, Sam is forced to rethink everything he thought he knew about this family -- and re-examine his own life choices in the process.

Soundtrack: The original motion picture soundtrack is composed by Academy Award winning composer A.R. Rahman. Most of the recording was completed between September 2011 and December 2011. The soundtrack includes a end credits theme song named "Dotted Line" sung by Liz Phair who had also co-written the song with the composer. The original motion picture soundtrack was released on June 19, 2012, under the label Lakeshore Records.
