Tourists positively evaluated the organization of European Soccer Cup Euro 2012 in Poland

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced last Friday, based on figures supplied by the National Statistics Bureau, that 84% of foreign supporters and tourists have positively evaluated the organization of Euro 2012 in Poland and also that 81% of those asked, would return to Poland.

The Foreign Ministry reported that nearly 60% of the participants in the study had come to Poland for the first time and almost all respondents also stated that they would recommend a stay in Poland to their friends.

The majority of those questioned, about 91%, enjoyed the atmosphere generated in Poland during Euro 2012. 77% of foreign tourists and supporters were satisfied with the transport facilities and 85% said that they had felt safe during their stay in the host cities during the tournament.

Much praise was given to the local Polish volunteers who, according to the foreign visitors to the cup, have demonstrated a degree of understanding and competence, a good knowledge of the English language, good communication skills and a great willingness to help. 88% of those questioned have given the volunteers in the host cities a positive assessment.

88% of supporters were pleased with the official Polish Fan Zones. 90% praised the atmosphere at the Fan Zones during matches, 86% the safety and security and 85% the location.

The survey was conducted by the National Statistics Bureau on the 8th and 10th June, in the first days of matches in Poland, with about 500 foreign tourists and supporters in each of the four host cities in Poland.  This generated a sample of about 2000 individuals. The research was carried out on a group of people over 15 years of age and before, during and after each game.

According to PL2012 Out of all the nations whose teams did not participate in Euro 2012, the biggest number of tickets was purchased by Americans, and Canadians.
