Video games collection fetches $1.2 million on eBay

One must really love video games to pay $1.2 million for them. A Frenchman has apparently made a fortune after selling a significant part of his video games collection on eBay. The seller claims to have spent around 20 years putting it together.
The collection features almost 7,000 games is reported to be the most-comprehensive ever sold through online auction. The seller listed the collection as “once in a lifetime” offer of “22 full sets sold at once.”
According to the seller the collection includes every single game ever released for every Sega console, many of Nintendo's consoles, and also lesser-known game consoles.
The seller says he took exceptionally good care of his precious games. All are factory-sealed with original boxes and instructions. Many of the games have never been opened or played. He even kept the boxes away from direct sunlight.
The efforts seem to have paid off, as a buyer from Canada has purchased the lot for the asking price of 999,999 euro (around $1.23m) for this jaw-dropping collection. Now the seller is waiting for the money.
