"THE DRAGON'S LAIR!"

My father did the needful and then stood close to my right. Little did I know that this frail looking man, was one of the greatest political leaders of all times! He stared intently at my 'Convent School' badge, and then asked, "who teaches you English?" I answered, 'Mother Anne, Sir!"  Premier Chou en Lai of China smiled, ruffled my hair lovingly and advised me to work hard! Mother Anne was beside herself with joy on the news and taught Byron with even greater passion. At the end of every lecture on poetry, Mother Anne, would conclude with a sentence that I only began to grasp much later that: 'The Poets are the true legislators of the world.'

With time singers have joined the poets. All young Pakistani singers have become and ready to become Icons. In one song, Bilal Khan is petrified to find himself with growing attributes of a "Scocrpion!" And dares the world to change him! The mirror image of Truth is Truth!!

When President J F Kennedy talked about helping people in the huts and villaged around the world, he said that America does it because it was the right thing to do. Turns out that he was right on every level, not merely morally right. The Americans understood the lessons of History that this was the right thing to do for their National Security, for the global health, for stopping violence. It was right from a hardheaded, bottom line, conservative standpoint, and it was right for winning hearts and minds at a time when America needed Allies. But it needs Allies even moreso today.

This formula was but a very very tiny amount of their income but this could save million of people and make a safer world. And many Americans did debate to consder this measure with a question, 'why should we give a few cents out of every hundred dollars to do something like this?!' And yet they continue to pose this question! Throughout the world, the poor by and large live in villages. Thousands by thousands of villages.

The fact of the matter is that these villages are communities of people who want desperately desperately out of poverty, who want their children to get out of poverty. They know they are poor. And they know that the world elsewhere in not poor and they are horribly stuck in situation that they don't want to be stuck in. That is the core problem that the whole world faces. For Pakistani Students who can, must listen to FM 100 ads that get aired every hour or so. See what the American Aid has to say to all of us! Now, the basic ideas for how a poor village can be developed have been known for a long long time among different group of great practitioners - those who grow food, and all those who fight disease, and all those who manage water supplies. So, the obvious problem to address was how to bring these different variables or groups together, because villages don't live only on farming or only on water or only on clinic they live as a whole communities that will get out of poverty wholly!!
