About 30 people participating in a student protest Monday afternoon in downtown Montreal were detained by police for blocking road traffic.
The rally was the latest of a series of protests on high tution fees, held on the 22nd of every month since the Quebec student crisis touched off late last winter. The number of demonstrators has dwindled since the strike by college and university students largely ended in September
One person was arrested on a charge of violating release conditions.
