BERLIN, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- A brace by Frenchman Franck Ribery was enough for Bayern to defeat Hoffenheim while Hamburg's Heung Min Son scored the only goal of the match against newly promoted Fuerth and Schalke cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over struggling Wolfsburg on Saturday.
German record champions Bayern Munich equal their own record-start with seven straight wins following a faultless performance against Hoffenheim.
Hoffenheim tried to neutralize Bayern's build up play from kick off. Nevertheless, it took 19 minutes until the Bavarians opened the scoring. Frenchman Franck Ribery utilized a through ball to beat Hoffenheim goalkeeper Koen Casteels from inside left of the box.
The Bavarians controlled the match although they were unable to extend the lead within the first half.
Two minutes into second half Franck Ribery added another goal to the scoreboards when he curled a pass by Toni Kroos into top left from the penalty area.
Bayern remained consistently dangerous at the second half but unable to add a third goal to the lead.
