ATHENS, Tenn. (AP) — More than 1,000 students and teachers in 12 public and private high schools in Tennessee will get the chance to view the Tennessee Supreme Court in action during oral arguments in three cases.
The high court will be listening to arguments from attorneys in three cases during a special visit to Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens on Friday. Following the arguments, the attorneys will answer questions from the students and the participants join the Supreme Court justices in a lunch and brief program.
The Supreme Court Advancing Legal Education for Students, or SCALES program, has included more than 25,000 students from 465 schools since 1995.
