''SMELLING GREAT: SECRET!''

It's not immediately obvious, -in evolutionary terms, why we have such a well developed sense of smell.
Perhaps it's to help us avoid eating rotten, and thus poisonous, food. It would certainly be tough to know when milk has gone sour without it. I am not qualified to judge whether or not grooming now technically counts as an element of the process Darwin first described, but it's obvious that one's chances of finding a mate are vastly decreased if you smell bad. Hahaha!

What's less obvious is how much one is able to increase them by smelling good -after all, there's a perfectly respectable point of aromatic neutrality right inbetween these these two points.
The questions that must always stay and even flash through your minds is: 1) do I actually like this? 2) does it smell good to other people? 3) Am I putting on too much?

The first question seems to be the easiest to answer, but actually it's quiet complicated because one's brain gets in the way -there are things I would like to like but which I have, through bitter experience, realised do not work for me. Caron's legendary and much admired Pour Un Homme is one of these. As with much in life, it's better to trust your gut feelings rather than your preconceptions.

I was recently excited to try a new fragrance from a top-drawer brand, but actually felt thoroughly sick from the smell of it until I washed it off.

It's worth considering what suits your personality, and occasionally experimenting rather than just finding something you like and sticking with it. A key element in what makes a fragrance appeal to me -a good smell is given- but its not entirely sufficient, is the aura of luxury around it. This is informed by every element -from the carton, bottle, label and pump to the natural ingredients, such as Bulgarian Rose oil, Moroccan Artemisia or Calabrian bergamot.

It's natural ingredients that really make a fragrance special; they introduce an element of genuine scarcity in the product.

The natural elements also add to the romance of fragrance, which is absolutely central to its allure. But remember its very easy to have too much of a good thing; no one should be the kind of idiot who wears an excess of cologne. And remember the juice has to be sprayed on to the skin and not the cloth. Do it as you are dressing up this will help settle the extra punch. So, when you smell great, you pass around a lifting emotion and well being. This is as good as many a great cheer!

And I hope I have helped you all with this Post To be perfectly honest it it is really tough to guide through the olfactory minefield of how to pick, apply and wear your fragrances.. Hahaha!

Good Night & God Bless!
