there's no one quite like the French fashion house.
Way back in the day—we're talking
1947—Dior perfected his New Look silhouette with a super-fitted waistline and
va-va-voom voluminous skirts for a flirty, feminine look. The unapologetically
girly shape lives on within the fashion house today, thanks in part to leading
ladies, who continue to love the figure-flaunting fit-and-flare frocks for
everything from film premieres to award shows.
Though
retro-glam gowns like Jessica Biel's pretty pink dress are a classic
nod to the brand's founder, modern twists like Emma Watson's layering of a strapless dress over
cigarette pants or Kristen Stewart's on-trend chartreuse number pretty much ensure the label
remains popular with Hollywood's younger set. And then there are those celebs
like Marion Cotillard, who rarely step out in anything
but Dior, no matter what style or shape the dress. (We're guessing that
probably has something to do with the fact that the French beauty is the face
