'''OLYMPIC ORNAMENTS!!'''

Stanislawa Walasiewicz The Polish sprinter competed as a woman in 1932 and 1936 before changing her name to Stella Walsh and emigrating to the US. When she was killed during a robbery, it was revealed that she had male chromosomes.

Dora Ratjen competed in the women's high jump in the Berlin Games in 1936. Twenty years on it turned out that Dora was in fact Hermann; the Nazi youth movement had forced him into this state.

Ewa Klobukowska helped the Polish team to 4x100 relay Gold in Tokyo, 1964. Three years later a test showed her to have an extra female chromosome.

The unforgettable fire and Torch was introduced at the 1928 Amsterdam Games, and the Olympic Flame is usually transported by runners.

But not always........

> In 1948 it crossed the British Channel by Boat.

> In  1952 it went by aeroplane to Helsinki.

> Due to Australian quarantine regulation equestrian events in 1956 were held in Stockholm. The flame arrived on a horse.

> In 1976, it was transformed into an electronic pulse and sent via satellite to Canada, where a laser beam was used to light the fire.

> In 2000 it was carried ''under water'' by divers near the Great Barrier Reef.

And when the modern Olympics was revived in 1896, silver medals were awarded to winners. Gold replaced silver as the medal for first place at 1904 Olympics in St Louis. The last Olympic medals made of solid gold were awarded in 1912. Those awarded at Sydney were coated with 6g of gold. The dimensions are: thickness: 0.47in; height 4in; Width: 3.25in.

Gold and Silver: weight:1.893 lbs. Base: 92.5 per cent silver, 7.5 per cent copper.

Bronze: weight: 1.59lbs. Base: 90 per cent copper, 10 per cent zinc.

And then Olympic also had its cheat corner: And this was through Electronic Engineering: With cold war ingenuity, one Ukrainian's fencing epee had been fitted with a button in its handle which, whenever pressed, registered a hit. Hahaha!

With respectful dedication to all the athletes of the world and to the Great spectacle of Olympic Games!

Good Night & God Bless
