14 students stabbed at US college

Dylan Quick, who has been charged in the multiple stabbings on the
Lone Star Cy-Fair Campus, is escorted by Harris County Sherrif's Office

A STUDENT, 20, who went on a building-to-building stabbing attack at a Texas community college, has been charged after wounding at least 14 people.

Sheriff's officials said Dylan Quick is charged with three counts of aggravated assault after the attack at Lone Star Community College in Cypress. The city is about 32 kilometres from Houston.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says in a statement that Quick used a "razor-type knife'' to cut his victims, and pieces of the blade were found at the scene.

The sheriff's office says Quick allegedly told investigators he'd had fantasies about stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school.

Students run from the Lone Star College's Cy-Fair campus in Cypress,
Texas, where a student went on a building-to-building stabbing attack,
injuring at least 14 people before he was wrestled to the ground.
Investigators also say Quick indicated he'd been planning the attack for some time.

The attack at about 2.30am AEST on the Lone Star Community College System campus sent at least 12 people to area hospitals, including four people taken by helicopter, according to volunteer fire department spokesman Robert Rasa. He said several people refused treatment at the scene and all the wounds were consistent with stabbing.
