Inspiring children through reading

Today is World Book Day, a day created by UNESCO to honor all things literary, from books and their authors, to the art of writing and illustration.
Events around the world are inspiring a new wave of love for literature. People of all ages are joining in, including children.
Recent studies show that children up to the age of 13 read on average five extracurricular books in 2012, that’s 1.5 books fewer than in 2011.
