'''!!! ONE UP ON THE BLESSINGS !!!'''

Time to rejoice in the richness of our planet. Time to rejoice in the workings of Providence. The great lesson in life is to learn from every event, and beyond that, to count our blessings.

The human race is very fortunate in everything about its planet  -atmosphere, temperature, resources, climate. Indeed, its benevolence is responsible for our very existence. Astrophysicists, citing laws of probability and the almost infinite number of stars and their presumed planetary systems, assert that there must be other celestial bodies  -perhaps thousands, even millions-  on which life is possible, and very likely already exists. But no such planets have ever been observed. They remain an abstraction.

Student Muddasar Mustafa is too tackling abstraction. As a Lead Designer, under the ever watchful eye and assistance from the Samurai, this good lad has set out to produce ''A World Class Layout For Sam Daily Times''. As and when he is done, the ''Visualization Sketch'' will be write up their on masthead as a headline post. And the world will shoot forth its comments, define alternatives and applaud.

And some 40 odd kms away, in a small village/town, - strictly around 8:30pm our time, Student Maaham Manzur fires up her Laptop as the joint family closes in for the session. Her 83 years old Grandmother gets the ringside seat, while her parents, aunts and her cousins flank by. She then delights everybody by reading out loudly and translating the content from Sam Daily Times. So our world tomorrow will be very very bright. Be assured!

Less than 14 billion years have passed since the Big Bang. The species Homo Sapiens is less than 1 million years old. Civilization has existed for only about 8,000 years. Industrial Revolution occurred less than 250 years ago. We've harnessed electricity for only 160 years, atomic power for scarcely half a century. The rate of advance is increasing very fast indeed, yet the pace is going quicken at a speed we cannot now imagine. We are only at Chapter One in the story of humanity and its glories.

In this tale the earth has been a silent and acquiescent helpmate. Ice ages have come and gone. Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii but did not stop Naples from becoming one of the biggest and one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. The Black Death of the 14th century  -in statistical terms the biggest disaster to hit humanity-  turned out to have caused no more than a blip in the world's population growth. And it preceded the Renaissance one of the most magnificent steps in the forward march of civilization.

And, and, and the most important fact in the world today is that more than 2 billion Chinese and Indians, for the first time in History, are moving towards a decent material life. They are doing so not because of any ideological dogma or miracle, but because the earth is naturally rich and people naturally intelligent and because at long last the Chinese and Indians are being allowed to work industriously for their own betterment. The whole world will eventually benefit from this long overdue self improvement.

In the Wee hours of the morning, I thank God for the Samurai. Rabo and Dee and h and Ali are all up and reflecting on the next levels. They know we have to claw back on all four to get to real time news integration. Theory and Doctrine will only get you that far. There is almost no solution that you could achieve in one blow. You could only achieve it in a series of steps.

So whether it is India, China, Bangladesh, Thailand, Australia, Newzeland, Peru, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Austria, Sirilanka, Japan, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Russia, Germany, Pakistan......................someone has just fired up his Laptop to read Sam Daily Times and to ascertain the status of the World Students Society-Computers-Internet-Wireless:
!WOW! could never be !WOW! if it was easy to !WOW!

So, lets count up our blessings, roll up our sleeves, and work on to build a better world!

With respectable dedication to Lessons from History

Good Night & God Bless!
