'''NUCLEAR ENERGY : A

QUALITY-FUTURE FOR THE WORLD'''

Esteemed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif :

If conscience is my guide, than Your commitment to serve your people is an apotheosis for all of the developing world.

So, when the future generations pirouette on this period and part of history, they are more than likely to ponder : not only your focused determination and attempts to solve the power shortages but also on your success in ''trying to get to the big picture''. It is just so easy for all mortals to get all wrapped up in the ''despair''  of the moment.

Nuclear Power is the true future of the world and its bound to come back in a big way, in a large part because of the rising costs and environmental impact of oil and other fossil fuels and because of advances of technology that are leading to a new generation of smaller and more efficient nuclear reactors.

Allow me to acquaint you with a highly gifted genius scientist, Eric Loewen at the Idaho National Laboratory. He is at the forefront of helping to design the new technology. But what makes him something of a super maverick is his vision for tying these new reactors more fully into the life of the communities around them.

Your Excellency, his vision is : ''That a reactor shouldn't be just about electricity. It's more than that. It can provide heat for homes or greenhouses or to make tofu and to do lots of other things. Its gamma rays. waste heat, and excess neutrons can be utilized for multitude of beneficial processes.''

Only some years ago Eric Loewen's work focused on the design of a heavy-metal lead-bismuth-cooled reactor, one of the six proposed models in the latest generation of reactors. And in addition, the concept of integration has also changed. The world now believes that better technology alone isn't going to assure greater acceptance of nuclear power.

Instead, says scientist Loewen, ''what we need to do is design reactors in  the future that are living systems within a community.'' Loewen's model is based on a nuclear plant large enough to power a city, and could be located within the city limits and can provide substantial industrial, agricultural and medical benefits to its citizens:

1. Electricity generation and distribution.
2. Applications from Neutrons.
3. Applications from spent fuel (Gamma rays)
4. Applications from by-product heat.

The bottom line is that whether the world in general Likes it or not, Nuclear Energy is the future of mankind. And a true objective analysis might just make you take a very hard road, and like it.

In the end, please, allow me to convey to Your Excellency and to the great people of Pakistan, the assurances of the highest considerations of the World Students Society Computers-Internet-Wireless

With best wishes and respectful regards,
Student Angel Mother.

With respectful dedication to all the Students and Professors and Teachers from Pakistan. See you all on the World Students Society Computers-Internet-Wireless: The Democratic International Nuclear Reactor.

Good Night & God Bless!
