How getting a good posture can help you

Before anything, it will boost your confidence. A good posture will save you from many things, like body aches, back pains and nasty looks. It will come from practicing. Try standing up tall. Image for a while that you're a puppet and someone is pulling you up.

Many people get a bad posture because they spend a lot of time working in the office hunched over a desk or at home doing homework. To balance if off, try this little trick. Sit down and Pull your shoulder blades down and back as far as possible.

Do you keep looking down all the time while walking? Try getting your head up and seeing the world and nice things. Walk with your head up. Pick your chin up and look straight ahead.

For those having trouble pulling shoulder blades back, try doing two back exercises  for every one chest exercise in your workout. This will build up the muscles in your upper back and allow you to actually pull those shoulder blades back together. Want something easier? Try standing with your heels, butt, and head against a wall, and then pull your shoulder blades back until they’re touching the wall too. Do this daily and increase the length of the stretch each time.

Sitting all day at one place in a chair also gets you a bad posture. You can try sitting down in your chair, and then stand back up without having to rock forward. If you have to lean forward even slightly, you’re doing it wrong. Sit straight up like you’re always ready to stand without having to lean forward. Your lower back will probably get tired as hell sitting like this because it’s not used to the new position, work on it. Do planks every other day (working your way up to two minutes), and you’ll have a rock-solid core and incredibly strong lower back.

Good luck!
