The Game That Detects a Cheating Relationship

This Post follows a speculative fictionalization of a possible future, intended to warn readers about a potential new technology.

I was this close to having the perfect life, but Random Check wrecked everything.
My name is Ehsan Khaleel, and for almost five years I lived two lives Most days, I was a near-perfect Son, Loving Partner and telecom engineer: dependable, consistent, capable. You needed something, I was there for you.
Do this too long, and eventually you burn out. Folks will tell you otherwise, but such a life is too predictable, too deadening.
Eventually I met a female Dr, Seems like a caring ball of energy who felt the same way. One thing led to another, and 3-4 times a year we’d sneak away for a wild romp: partying in different places, hanging out, or even just finding a cabin in the woods and shutting off the world.
Talented as I am at many things, I truly excel at deception. Being detail-oriented and disciplined, I can construct perfect cover stories and stick to them. she is even better.
So for four wonderful years, I had a free pass to use every few months. Leave responsibilities behind. Cut completely loose. Come back a new man (but not too new, that would invite scrutiny.)
It kills me that I never heard about Random Check, that no one told me it was a glorified trap for cheating relations, lying employees and common criminals. I thought it was just a toy, nothing more.
Here’s how it went down.
One night, we were together and I was relaxing for a while to drop her back home and she showed me Random Check, which she explained as one of our teenager’s latest games. It was just a headset connected to a game on her tablet. She told me the game could detect her when she recognized something personal, and dared me to beat it.
The game pulled images from our personal photos we taken together and mixed them up with scores of others. So I’d see photos of three different guys, then one of mine. Bingo! Every time, the PERSONAL light would glow, sometimes even before I consciously realized it was me mixed with some guys.
Same thing happened with my dog, my house, my car. I could never conceal my reaction. The pesky thing was reading my mind.
You can guess what happened next. Photos of a bunch of men flashed by, and then one of our. PERSONAL flashed. I could hear the air punched out of my Partner gut. She’d been tipped off by an anonymous note, but couldn't believe it. Now she did. That was the end of my Relation, my perfect life.
I may be saying this incorrectly, but it turns out there’s something called a P300 potential in our brains. When we recognize something, it shrieks, “Aha!” And there ain’t a damn thing we can do about it.

Most of my 30+ SAMDAILYTIMES blogs encourage readers to help other people and build win/win relationships at work. I write the vast majority of my articles for good-natured, positive people. But the reality is that not all business people are quite as positive, and to mix things up I wrote this article in the voice of a deceptive, manipulative, and immoral person. My intention was not to write an off-topic piece, but rather to get us thinking about new uses of technology.
For example, you might be faithful to your partner whom u planing to get married, but can you also claim to never have lied at work? Similar technologies could be used in a business setting, and once that happens we will confront a host of issues that few have considered carefully. My intention is simply to plant this question in your head: what will life be like when the truth becomes inescapable?
