Allow me the liberty to be ruthlessly and even painfully honest:

This darned year, 2013, passed, with  ''Jack The Ripper''  having a higher popularity rating than most governing elements. At least ''Jack The Ripper''  did his dirty work in silence!!

Frank Lutz, summed up brilliantly as ever: ''The citizens of the world are fed up with the governing elements squandering their lives and money on pet projects that play favourites but don't favour the people:

''Yes,Sir, Prime Minister''. But without the humour.

On the macro-level, in the world at large, the citizens are fed up with increased taxation amid national debt that is mounting at a bone-chilling rate. Given these factors, it's hard to blame the citizens for concluding that all and everything is just one big corruption exercise.

And consider the following,  -supported by 72 per cent of the American people: ''Washington talks a lot about creating jobs, but a better approach is to empower Americans to pursue and achieve careers.

A job is something that you do for a living, but a career is something you do with your life   -and that is the key to happiness for every one.''

Don't misunderstand though    -the people, the students, are still seething at the corporate elite who drove the global economy into the ground. 

They loathe the political elite who allowed it to happen. And they scorn the media elite who failed to hold anyone accountable. There's plenty of righteous outrage to go around.

The Year 2013 is over. Thank God!  And if you look at the statistics on the Homepage carefully. You will appreciate that  'Sport'  is great for having the ultimate means of determining as to who is the very best.

!The hierarchy is very clear!

The Internet is not a panacea for everything. For many many decades I pleaded the concept with the students. Nothing budged. Not even a whimper?

Only some years ago, when we launched, the web was in a peak vogue. But some ideas, assumptions, and dreams just never made the grade.

My judgement is that You just cannot teach  ''Vision''.

But today, this very year on : no one has to wait long for proof of concept. Launch something and see you the worth  -or not-   very very quickly.

Value is never about relatives. Value is about absolutes. You cannot imagine what things are like at the top of a mountain until you get there. !WOW! and Sam Daily Times are the same:

!WOW! and Sam Daily Times never ended up looking like you imagined they will. That's why you have to make sure that you build both of  them in stages. The same way you climb Everest in stages.

There is an age in your life, when heroes emerge. Then they stay with you. From my youth I have pictures of my heroes : 

President Kennedy, Muhammad Ali, M.A. Jinnah, King Faisal, Mahtama Ghandhi, Kamal Ata Turk, Jamal Abdul Nasir, Sir Winston Churchill, Mao, President De Gaulle, and on and on. I am sure you all have your heroes too.

But then even at this late age, I have developed more heroes: The Samurai,  -and you know them all; and   -''All the students of the world''.

As I round off the year, and begin the next, four rare pearls of wisdom come to mind. Allow me the honour to share them with you:

1. You have to have some lucky breaks when setting up a concept as complex as !WOW!. But some luck really does just,  and will land in your lap.

2. I can't tell you the number of times I went to bed thinking that the game was up, that we had wasted all our time and efforts and sacrifices in vain.

Then you look at the problem again. The next night you go to bed having found a solution.

3. When you are just talking about an idea, that's the time when it's exciting. Then you get on the stage. It's no longer just an idea. It goes from hobby and fantasy to being the real thing. That is the hardest step to take.  Reread and ''reread''   and remember this 

4. And lastly, many many times it is best to be acknowledged that you are shit. Just simply, plainly,  -worthless shit.

I hope I have narrowed the odds for your success.

I pray for you all, and pray for the times ahead, and quote from a very rare Arabic proverb and a prayer:  ''May Your End Be Better Than Your Beginning !''
