Facebook buys fitness app firm

Facebook wants a piece of the lucrative fitness
technology market

Facebook has purchased a Helsinki-based fitness firm ProtoGeo.

The Finnish firm created the Moves app that uses a smartphone's built-in sensors to track activity and calories burned.

Facebook earlier purchased mobile messaging firm WhatsApp and virtual headset maker Oculus.
