Recently, a
reporter asked Zac Efron if he’d ever return to East High, where he established
his permanent babe status in Disney’s “High School Musical.” Unlike many adult
actors who shy away from their corny beginnings, Zac wasn’t totally against the
idea!
“We’re all
thinking about it,” he said. “I continue to see all the guys from ‘High School.’
Every time we do … there’s just this look between us.”
2013 was a
difficult year for Zac, as he headed to rehab for an alleged cocaine addiction.
But it was also the year he acknowledged his struggles with substance abuse and
decided to get help, which we can all applaud him for.
Today, Zac
is nine months sober with a movie in theaters and many more to come. Catch him
in “That Awkward Moment” alongside Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller — if you
can handle that much hotness at once.
+ Vanessa
Hudgens
I know I’m
not the only one who misses the days when Zac and Vanessa were all loved up,
but I also know that onscreen romances that blossom off-screen die faster than
the tomatoes in my garden did after a freak springtime snowfall.
Vanessa’s
been in tons of movies since “High School” and is constantly sharing her good
fortune with the world. For example, right after Typhoon Haiyan hit the
Philippines, she taped a PSA for UNICEF asking everyone to help out with
disaster relief.
+ Ashley Tisdale
It seems like
just yesterday, Ashley Tisdale was the obnoxious girl who always wore pink in
“High School Musical.” Now Sharpay is all grown up and engaged to rocker
Christopher French.
She’s also a
spokesperson for Puma’s Project Pink — an initiative to help raise breast
cancer awareness. And don’t think you’re off the hook, Disney princesses,
’cause breast cancer’s not just for older women. Over 13,000 young women will
be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone, so make sure to get a yearly
checkup at the doctor!
+ Corbin
Bleu
You probably
caught Corbin on “Dancing With the Stars” last year, where he was so good it
was almost unfair to the other competitors. There should really be some rule
against pitting experienced pros against beginners, but that’s a whoooole
‘notha article.
Corbin
recently reunited with the rest of Wildcats to support cast member Monique
Coleman‘s GimmeMo’ Foundation, which works to improve the lives of young people
around the world.
