Australia defeated England by over an innings in the fifth Test to give the retiring captain Michael Clarke and batsmen Chris Rogers a high farewell.
England had arrived at Oval having already won the series 3-1 but were crushed in both their innings falling short to Australia's 1st inning score of 481 by 46 runs.
Smith lead the batting charge with 143 runs while Siddle claimed four wickets in the last innings.
The hosts have now won all four home Ashes series since losing in 2001.
