''' PATRON SAINT EDHI '''
ALL GREAT SUCCESSES are preordained. And the Pakistani nation and the students, can simply tell by the feel that-
Abdus Sattar Edhi was a Patron Saint, [and yet a mere mortal he was], was just so uniquely fated for, with a History-
A History of holding mankind's hand and hands, with selfless devotion, for any test or opportunity that the Good Lord sent their way.
He never faltered in his love, service and sharing, with fellow mortals -when in need.
Abdus Sattar Edhi's was the heart of mankind.
While our paths crossed for over a decade in Karachi, Pakistan, and I found a ringside seat.
Edhi evoked a shine and -rose and rose to pantheon of greatness hauling and shielding the sufferers and victims with him
By lifting and assisting them, when in wallops of pain, soaked in sufferings, and drenched in indignities, the Maulana found his soul, his God and his destined calling..
And he did that for everybody, *I saw and stood witness*, for humanity. And he offered that Love and Deliverance to the humans - in their own respective world, and on their terms and in living, and assured that-
When death came, no matter how, unknown and how much unclaimed, he would honour their last rights and their very last rites. His will said : ''Bury me in what I am wearing.''
The Saint owned only the rent of his humble windowless abode, and at the most two or three very used and oversized dresses, one fat airy-flip flops, and a karakole cap, but of some fineness and dignity.
That's about all, were his worldly possessions.
''Everybody romps a degree of education,'' the Saint once observed, ''But few care to be humans.''
'' Few rise and soar in prayers, and even fewer by the deeds they do for the fellow-humans.''
*Humaneness and Humanity must brim every religion*. he often directed. *Humans must be judged, by the way to relate to sacrifices and not simply to material and worldly, accomplishments.''
*The World gone, just so darker,
in pathos and in pain-
All children set to weeping,
forsaking every gain
No sanctuary shall they find,
in remorse or by their terrors-
No peace, will they ever dine,
for these tired pall-bearers.
The Purr, the Puff, the Proxies, and the Pulpits attacked and threatened him, his great work and his great life and his great edifice. He left for UK, and the sufferers wailed.
Fearless, and in peace, and even more determined he returned to offer his breath, and his pores and his tears.Torn every day into bits and pieces, that he rejuvenated as one whole, every single darkness.
And when this great man lay departed and in repose, saluted and mourned the world over, his ambulances, his workers and his shelter systems ply ed and continued their heavenly missions.
The Mankind, the World, the World Students Society salutes Maulana Abdus Satter Edhi, and has the honour to name a module in his name called, *Edhi Last*.
But even in deep sadness, now, when you play the ''world's smallest violin,'' everyone can hear it.
There's no better way to express deep sympathy than by playing the 'world's smallest violin,'' but the sad song you mime, can now actually be heard.
Enterprising minds of creative studio Design I/O have combined machine learning radar and other technologies so that when you rub your thumb and forefinger together, it actually produces the sound of a violin.
Google's Project Soli plays a key role in the magic. Soli is a purpose built interaction sensor that uses miniature radar to track the motion of the human hand. the sensor and antenna array are packed into an ultra-compact 8mm X 10mm chip.
Soli is designed for what the project calls ''virtual tools,'' in which a gesture mimics, the familiar interaction with a physical tool. In this case, of course, the gesture is the rubbing of thumb and forefinger associated with playing a tiny violin.
Another key piece of the World's Tiniest Violin is an open-source machine learning tool called the Wekinator. Designed to help the users build interactive systems by demonstrating human actions and computer responses.
Instead of writing code, the Wekinator can be used to create musical instruments, gestural game controllers and more..
The third key piece is Open Frameworks, an open source C++ tool kit designed to make coding easier for creating professionals.
Put it all together and you have a device that detects your your trolling gesture and outputs the musical accompaniment you always dreamed of.
To Sum, Un-understood by the world, as yet. Edhi's real work remains cloaked in secrecy. Holding and lapping infants, and singing lullabies to them as they pain swung.
*Edhi was, was way above and beyond a Nobel Prize. He needed no prodding from this cruel world of interests and pettiness and utter ugliness to second him in obtaining this revered honour.
I knew him. He would disdain this, and such growing tide. No worldly honours, recognition and status meant anything to him. His greatest accomplishment though, has arrived, just about now:
To stand before his Creator -with his head held high in a dignity that befitted him. A humility that forever would garland his submissions.
Few mortals ever graced Mankind and Mother earth more, than Maulana Abdus Sattar Edhi. As he flip-flopped looking for destiny as a guide.
But that was one puzzle, the Maulana failed to solve, as he looked towards rolling heavens, and cried.
