The new UK government led by Theresa May looks set to scrutinize the inflow of foreign students.
It is reported that government is tightening the criteria for student visa in an attempt to reduce the immigration.
The measures could include stopping the foreign students migrating to take easy courses from low ranked universities. The courses also known as 'Micky Mouse' courses, are targeted by visa aspirants looking for work in UK.
The measures will also ensure foreign students return home after finishing their studies.
Ms May says her government will reduce “net migration” to below 100,000, as per Conservative target. Currently the net migration is around 330, 000.
