Floyd Mayweather beat martial arts champion Conor McGregor on a TKO in the 10th round to extend his boxing legacy to 50-0.
Floyd Mayweather said he "chose the right dance partner" for his final fight and arguably the greatest sell in boxing history.
After several heated exchanges in the build-up, Mayweather said the fighters gave the fans "what they wanted".
"He is a tough competitor," he said.
"He was a lot better than I thought. But I was the better man.
"I guaranteed everybody this would not go the distance. Boxing's reputation was on the line."
The fight surpassed previous records of earning in a boxing match with Mayweather expected to pick up $300m and McGregor around $100m. McGregor's previous best earning from a contest was $3 million in UFC fight against Nate Diaz.
