Family Called Rescue Service To Tackle A Lizard That Turned Out To Be A Dirty Sock

A family in Coventry scared by an unmoving lizard under the bed called RSPCA which discovered the unique breed to be just a dirty sock.

The RSPCA officer, Vic Hurr, "cautiously" approached the tiny beast only to realise its just a sock.

"It was around seven inches long and about two inches wide," Ms Hurr said.

"It was protruding from the edge of the bed and it wasn't moving at all.

"I got out my torch to see better and that's when I realised it wasn't a lizard at all, it was a pink stripy sock."

The family was “mortified” by their misjudgement, according to an RSPCA spokesperson.
