TECHNOLOGY has helped in the growth and development of mankind as a whole Technological inventions have made daily tasks far more convenient.
We can now connect with people in different parts of the world with the push of a button, travel long distances without having to move a muscle, have sources of constant entertainment and can- easily cook and store food.
But we must still ask of ourselves, is technology really a boon to mankind? This has always been a point of debate.
While technology has paved the way for a better living its downside cannot be overlooked.
The continual use of technologically advanced equipment as well as the process of production has led to a drastic rise of health problems such as obesity and visual impairment.
Besides this overuse of social media has made people more isolated rather than socially connected. It has also led to the decrease in the employment opportunities, particularly for the labour class.
Technology certainly has given way to an improved lifestyle and contributed towards the growth of economies; however, the amount of damage it has done to the environment as well as human kind is a cause of serious concern.
It is wise not to go overboard with the use of technology.
A healthy balance between science, and nature is necessary to lead lead a happy, healthy life.
The World Students Society appreciates Arwa Ali Asgar's point of view and hopes to welcome everybody with like minded thinking on !WOW!.
