How Christian Bale helped Robert Pattinson for ''The Batman''.
Ever since the trailer for The Batman released last weekend, social media has been flooded with comparisons between Robert Pattinson, the lead of the upcoming film, and Christian Bale, who wore cowl in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy.
While most fans have been divided, with some expressing reservations about the Twilight actor's version of the Caped Crusader, director Matt Reeves has noted that the former borrowed a few tips from the later for the coveted role, reported Screen Rant.
During Reeves' The Batman DC FanDome panel, the film maker received a question about much input the actors had on their costumes.
While talking about the Bat Suit, Reeves revealed the advice Bale gave to Pattinson in this regard. ''Rob actually talked to Christian Bale and Bale was like, 'just make sure you're gonna be able to relieve yourself.''
He followed up by saying the Pattinson needed to be ''put it on'' and also needs ''to live as a human being'' in the suit.
The virtual DC FanDome from Warner Bros comes after real world extravaganzas beloved by comic books fans - such as Comic Con - were cancelled this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Headline billing went to The Batman, a dark detective style mystery take on the life of Batman, which Pattinson said, had to shut down m,midway through production in March due to Covid-19.
Director Matt Reeves said his version - still due to next year - is inspired by classic notes like ChinaTown and Taxi Driver, and will meet a ''very human and very flawed'' Bruce Wayne in his second year as Batman, trying to solve a series of crimes.
