For the first time in decades, China's population has declined, by 850,000 people according to official numbers. That doesn't sound like much for a country with a population of more than a billion. This demographic shift will have massive consequences. Not just for China, but globally. So what has China done to try to manage its population up to now and how will the country cope with the population drop?
