Virat Kohli guided India to a comprehensive win against Pakistan scoring an unbeaten 100 in a chase of 242 runs.
The victory puts India on brink of a spot in Champions Trophy semi-finals and their rivals close to elimination.
“It feels good to be able to bat for a long period. We wanted to seal the semi-final berth, and it was important for me to stay till the end. My job was to control the middle overs and dominate fast bowlers. We decided not to take any risk against the spinners,” he said on Star Sports.
“It is important not to pay attention to outside noise and distractions. I knew my game, and the focus was on my skills. I always try to give my hundred percent. God rewards you when you work hard. I am thankful to God for his help,” he added.
